Play offline
In the menu: ⚙ → Play offline (the Offline group, on the first screen).
Download the game to your device once, and it opens and plays without a connection. Saves you make offline stay on the device and upload when you are back online.
Download the game
- Open the game while online, preferably on Wi-Fi: the download can be hundreds of megabytes.
- ⚙ → Play offline shows how many files and how much space it needs, and how much is free.
- Tap Download. A bar shows the progress. You can close the panel and keep playing: the download goes on while the game is open. The screen stays on while it runs, where the browser allows it.
| What happens | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pause, a closed tab, a dropped connection | Nothing is lost. Open Play offline again and tap Continue: files already on the device are not downloaded twice |
| Not enough space | The game needs more than the device has free. Free some space, or clear another site's data, and open the panel again |
| You are signed out | Your login expired. Reload the page, sign in and continue |
| A few files did not download | Tap Continue to try those again |
When the panel says Everything is on this device, turn on airplane mode and open the game's link: it starts from the files on the device. Without ⚙ → Play offline, the browser still keeps the files you played through, but not those of places you never reached.
New version of the game
When the person who set up the game publishes a new version, the next launch (after every tab of the game is closed once) removes the files that changed. ⚙ → Play offline then shows how much is left to download. Open it while online and tap Continue: only the changed files download.
Install it as an app
| Device | How |
|---|---|
| Android, Chrome, PC | ⚙ → Play offline → Install app (or the browser's install button in the address bar). The game then opens full screen from its own icon |
| iPhone / iPad (Safari) | Share → Add to Home Screen. Do this: Safari deletes a website's files after about a week without a visit, but not an app's |
An installed game keeps its downloaded files like the website does. Your saves and your login follow your email either way.
Free the space
⚙ → Help → Game files on this device shows what is kept and clears it. The game then downloads again as you play, or when you tap Download. Saves are not touched.
Limits
- Over a connection that never reaches the server, the game opens but cloud saves wait until it does (Cloud saves).
- Sign in once while online after the login expires, even on an installed copy.
- Some sites have this turned off by the person who set up the game, or by the game's creator.
